Who am I?

Howdy! I'm a product designer who loves problem solving and product thinking. Currently, I'm at Abbott Diabetes Care, where I work on making the best experience on our glucose monitoring products for people with diabetes.

Previously, at Dell's Secureworks (now Sophos), I worked on designing critical and time sensitive alerts and investigations for a SaaS cybersecurity platform. At The Home Depot, I've worked on designing end-to-end machine-learning workflows used by internal data scientists, as well as conducting UXR and service/customer design via VR for tool returns.

Why design?

I simply love the design process. I love the creativity that comes with pinpointing the real pain points, iterating with colleagues and making intentional design decisions, checking back with the UX research, taking initiative on my work, and being surrounded by an infectious team dynamic.

Plus, design has a huge and profound impact on real people. :)

My goals

My goal with my designs is to simplify processes. It doesn't matter the medium--website, app, smartwatch, VR headset--I want to make apps usable, accessible, and delightful. How can I take this complicated process, whether for a data scientist, student, or Cornell Chimesmaster, and make it easier, understandable, affordable, and seamless?

Outside of design...

I'm a mother of two rambunctious kittens: Stinky Tofu and Dusty Noodle. Catch me building paludariums and aquascaping as my side gig, skiing in Mammoth, biking unnecessarily long distances, figure skating, pickleball-ing (but as a former tennis player), learning how to play the khaen and hammered dulcimer, and creating content on my TikTok for an audience of almost 200k followers.

Vivarium and aquarium business

I'm all about aquascaping and building bioactive vivariums with complex water features, and have sold several builds to clients. I also love carnivorous plants and orchids.

Musical background

My musical artistry is a huge part of who I am. I'm classically trained in piano and cello, competing in state competitions and global festivals.
